Abstract:
At the Longyou Grottoes scenic spot, an escarpment is exposed on the west side of Hole 24, with a length and height of more than ten meters. A security issue has arisen because the severely weathered escarpment is near the main road of the scenic spot and can be touched by tourists. According to field investigations, rocks often fall from the escarpment and bounce onto the road, posing a significant threat to tourists. For safety reasons, prevention and control measures must be implemented on the escarpment. Technically, both the engineering reinforcement method and the green plant strip isolation method are viable solutions for this issue. After comprehensive on-site analysis, it is believed that the proposed "green plant strip isolation method" is safer, more environmentally friendly, more economical, and more in line with the goal of "green and low-carbon" development.
