吸蓝量法在膨胀潜势判定中的应用与思考

    APPLICATION AND CONSIDERATION OF BLUE ABSORPTION METHOD IN DETERMINATION OF EXPANSION POTENTIAL

    • 摘要: 关于膨胀土膨胀潜势等级的划分和判定,在不同行业、地区有一定的差异。通常情况下大都以自由膨胀率作为判定依据,必要时需采用蒙脱石含量加以验证判定,但两种方法对于膨胀潜势等级的判定还有一定差异。本文针对我国西南某地区膨胀土物理力学特性,采用自由膨胀率法、吸蓝量法测定蒙脱石含量两种方法进行膨胀土膨胀潜势的判定对比,分析两种方法得出的膨胀潜势差异原因。首先从试验操作入手,改进了试验方法,提升了蒙脱石含量测定的准确度。再根据自由膨胀率判定的膨胀潜势结果,结合本地区膨胀土的物理力学特性、工程经验,对蒙脱石含量判定膨胀潜势等级的界限值提出了修正建议,采用吸蓝量法对膨胀潜势判定与自由膨胀率法基本一致,供广大工程人员参考。

       

      Abstract: Regarding the classification and determination of swelling potential of expansive soils,variations are observed among different sectors and geographical areas. Generally,the free swell ratio serves as the primary criterion for determination,with the montmorillonite content serving as supplementary verification when required. However,differences persist between these two methods in evaluating the swelling potential. This study undertook a comparative analysis of the swelling potential determination methods for expansive soils in a certain region of Southwest China,utilizing both the free swell ratio method and the methylene blue adsorption method to ascertain montmorillonite content. This study delved into the causes of the observed differences. By refining the experimental operation,this study improved the experimental method and enhanced the accuracy of the montmorillonite content measurement. Subsequently,leveraging the swelling potential results derived from the free swell ratio method and integrating the physical and mechanical characteristics of the expansive soils in this region along with practical engineering insights,this study proposed recommendations for adjusting the threshold values used to evaluate swelling potential based on montmorillonite content. These adjustments aim to align the swelling potential determination conducted via the methylene blue adsorption method with that obtained through the free swell ratio method,thereby providing a valuable reference for engineering professionals.
