Abstract:
Yigongzangbu Basin is located near the eastern Eastern Himalayan Syntaxis of the Tibetan Plateau. There are a series of problems in hydropower development, such as seismic and breaking resistance in high seismic intensity and active fault development areas, deep overburden of riverbed and deep gully, influence of high-level major geological disaster chain, stability of high and steep slopes, and a series of geological problems in deeply buried underground caverns. It is of great significance to deeply understand these gigantic engineering geological problems, avoid major geological risks, and ensure the safety of the project and people's lives and property. Based on the analysis of previous research results and the investigation and demonstration results of some cascade hydropower stations in the basin, this paper sorts out some gigantic engineering geological problems existing in the hydropower development of the basin and puts forward three levels of countermeasures from the general idea. Firstly,"seek advantages and avoid disadvantages":project site and line selection should avoid gigantic geological disasters and unfavorable geological factors as much as possible. Secondly,"optimize the layout":on the basis of seeking advantages and avoiding disadvantages to the greatest extent, optimize the layout of the project to minimize the excavation disturbance and influence on potential geological disaster bodies. Thirdly,"scientific prevention and control":on the basis of studying the disaster-causing mechanism of gigantic geological disasters and unfavorable geological factors, propose scientific and reasonable engineering protection and governance measures, avoid inducing new larger disasters, and ensure the safety of the project.
