Abstract:
The SHPB test was carried out on the Granite under wetting-drying cycles in Ningshan, Shaanxi Province, China, to explore the effect of wetting-drying cycles on the dynamic characteristics of Granite. The experimental results show that: (1)The dynamic uniaxial compressive strength, dynamic elastic modulus, and specific energy absorption(SEA) of granite are all related to the number of wetting-drying cycles and change exponentially. (2)During the wetting-drying cycles, the dynamic uniaxial compressive strength of granite decreases by 44%, the dynamic elastic modulus decreases by 45%, and the specific absorbed energy decreases by 46%. (3)The stress growth rate of granite decreases with the increase of the number of wetting-drying cycles, and the stress growth rate of wetting-drying cycles decreases by 56% compared with the no wetting-drying cycles. (4)The energy consumption ratio decreased gradually with the increase of the number of wetting-drying cycles, and the wetting-drying cycles decreased by 18.7% compared with the no wetting-drying cycles. (5)With the increase of the number of wetting-drying cycles, the reflected energy remained basically unchanged. (6)The transmitted energy increases slowly with the increase of the number of wetting-drying cycles, and the transmitted energy in wetting-drying cycles increases by 70.1% compared with the no wetting-drying cycles.
