    CONSTRAINT ON AGE DATA OF THE LATEST REMAKABLE ACTIVITIES ALONG FAULTS IN FRONT OF THE THREEGORGE DAM SITE

    • 摘要: 近一、二十年来, 为了研究三峡大坝库首区周围断层活动对大坝稳定性的影响, 采用TL、ESR、FT、14C和U系等测年法测了大量断层活动年龄数据。这些年龄数据范围很宽, 瞠目结舌, 无可措手。本文从1, 各测年法的适用时间段;2, 样品回零条件;3, 断层活动年龄含义;4, 年龄分散性的影响;5, 测年的干扰因素;6, 地质背景对测年结果的判定等六个方面进行探讨, 以期选取更适合于地质背景的年龄数据, 较准确地评价大坝的安全和稳定性。

       

      Abstract: n recent years, in order to study the activities along faults around and in front of the Three Gorges damsite, TL, ESR, FT, and U series dating methods have been use to date Xiannishan and Jiuwanxi faults. However, the obtained age data very scattered, so as to cant use these data. In this paper we suggest that: 1) appropriate time interval for dating methods; 2) back zero condition of samples; 3) implication of age of fault activities; 4) judgement of scattered age date; 5) disturbing factors for dating; 6) interference of geological background in dating results. Understanding the suggested above permits to select proper age data fit to geological background and more exactly evaluate the safety and stability of the Three Gorge Dam.
