The Ccrawl movement of crushed stone on hillslopes of weathered surface is a natural and dependent varied environmental slow geological deformation.This paper described the movement mechanism of this natural phenomenon and its movementform,besed on the study of surveying data and observation from a seious of in - site trialsurveying methods.Thisalso posed the preliminaly assumptions and trials of the possible mechanical and mathematical models for this natural phenomenon. In order to understand the mechanism of damage of carved rockwall of Baodingshan Grotto by water seepage and weathering,regular sampling and survey are carried out for different types of weathering products selected.This paper deals with the chemical and mineralogical compositions of weathered products from surrounding rock and carved rockwall,chemical characteristics and types of soluble salts in weathering products,and perennial variation of these characteristics in many years.The characteristics of soluble salt formation due to different types of hydrochemical factors are analysed and discussedn, the results can used as a reliable base for protective measures against damage from weathereing and water seepage. The environmental problems has attracted many attentions in the global extent.The geoscience plays an important role in solving the problems.Geologic environment is affected by both human and natural factors found in extensive areas.Therefore,geosience research on environment must take modern scientific theories as its basis,formulate its new theoretical system,and opens an excellent perspective for development of environmental geoscience. According to the results of field invcstigation and the lithological characteristics of Parent rocks and the degree of weathering,a preliminary classification of laterite along Nanning-Nali Line of NanKun Railway is suggested.Meanwhile,the composition and the microstructural characteristics of some main types of lateritee are analysed in this paper. There exist exstensive thick Pleistocene (Q3) loess on the dam foundation of Daliang Reservoir for diversion of Huanghe River into Shanxi Province.Statistic of large number of test data,study of initial subsidence presure and subsidence coefficient peak,and SEM study of microstructures of the loess from different deoths indicate that the subsidence of loess is mainly controlled by void structure.The subsidence rate decreases with increasing burial depth of loess and gradual transition of void structure to local void or mossaic void structure of the loess.It provides a basis for engineering treatment of the otess on the dam foundation. A changing rate index interation model for predicting foundation sebsidence is proposed in this paper,and the principle of this model is discussed in some deatils.Better fitting prediction result of an example is obtained. Upper Jurassic red bed,covering directly on coal-measure strata of Permian and Carboniferous System in Tengxiom-Yanzhou coal bearing Basin,was regarded as a aquifuge in exploration stage.In this paper a systematicalty study of chemical and mineralogical compositions of red beds,water-storing space and distribution pattern in red bed,and effect of groundwater on coal production is made by mean of analysis of exploration and laboratory data.Then the authors reach a conclusion that the red bed can store plentiful ground water in some suitable areas with lithologic and structural conditions due to development of pores、fissures and karst cavers.Groundwater in red bed is not only water supply for many mines,but can also threaten coal production as it is an important source for filling mine shaft and often bursting from mining-induced fissures in mine workings. A grey correlativity analysis method is used in analysis of the affecting factors in evolution of hydrodynamic environment in same typical areas of Hebei Plain,such as in Shijiazhuang,Hengshui and Changzhou aeas.The study shows that the change of meteorological phenomena is a governing factor for aquifer system Ⅰ,and the water expoitation is a direct affect factor affect on aquifer system Ⅲ and depression cone areas. This paper summarizes the modes of axial stress distribution of bolt and analyses their mechanism.It is shown that the characteristics of shear stress acting on bolt vary in different zones zone of surrounding rock and are reflected in the axial stress distribution of bolt.Based on this relation,this paper suggests a method for defermining failure zone of surrounding rock by means of axial stress measurement of bolt. Traditional method for engineering geology evalution is extented to be in a quatitative tabular form in this paper.According to the characteristics of geological facters,a method for quantitative tabutation of engineering geology evaluation is proposed.It can deal with qualitative factors and easily formulates them in tables.The practical applications show that this method has a good perspective in the field for engineering geology evaluation.
