Abstract
Structural change of weak intercalation may lead to slope damage. Under the action of strong earthquakes and rainfall, damage effects will be more significant as a key factor triggering landslides. To clarify the dynamic evolution mechanism of landslides, we study the accumulation process of internal defects in rock slopes and the development law of sliding surfaces. Based on the resistivity method, we carried out electrical measurement tests on weak intercalation materials with different moisture content. The electrical measurement system was integrated with a device for triaxial compression tests, and we obtained both resistivity-moisture-content and resistivity-stress-strain relationships. We established the relationship between the damage of weak intercalation and the resistivity change rate. In addition, we carried out a small-scale model test under the action of rainfall and pseudo-seismic force, simulating the process of water content increase and strength deterioration of weak intercalation of rock slopes. The result shows that it is feasible for the application of electrical measurement to assess the damage accumulation of weak intercalation of rock slopes.
