    ON THE CORE VALUE OF ENGINEERING GEOLOGY

    • 摘要: 本文从作者50a的工作经验和当今我国工程地质工作发展的现状出发,讨论了工程地质学的核心价值。工程地质学源于地质学,渊于地质学知识,但又是地质学科与工程学科的结合,具有解释地质构造和地质现象的工程意义的能力,这才构成它的特色。工程地质学通过它的观察、判别、推理、评价、预测到决策来实现其核心价值。工程地质工作既要坚持地质学的理论和方法,发挥工程地质学的特长,也应吸取和应用兄弟学科的理论方法和技术,推进工程地质学的发展,为工程建设作出新的贡献。

       

      Abstract: Abstract Based on the experience gained by the author in 50 years of engineering geological activities and the present situation of engineering geological work in the country,this paper is attempting to explore the core value of engineering geology. As originated from geosciences,engineering geology has its depth of knowledge of geology. However,the integration of geological and engineering sciences enables the engineering geology to have the capability of interpretation of geological structure and phenomenon on its engineering meanings,and to create the identifi-canon of engineering geology as a branch of modern sciences. Through the engineering geological observation,judg-ment,evaluation,prediction and decision making,the core value of engineering geology can be realized. In the en-gineering geological work the theory and methodology of geology and the identification of engineering geology should be implemented and be promoted,but the advanced theoretical and technology of relevant sciences should be ap-plied to achieve new advancement of engineering geology in serving the reconstruction of the country.
