    A STUDY OF FAULT STEP FROM OPEN EXCAVATION AND ITS SIZE

    • 摘要: 本文给出了陡坎形成的条件、过程和机理。根据用相似理论推导的在自重体积力作用下弹性体的位移与其尺寸间的非线性关系,推出了平面应变条件下断层陡坎与其活化段长度间的关系式。为了用具体例子来确认这种定量关系,作者作了数值模拟和物理模拟的尝试,并对模拟的结果作了分析。

       

      Abstract: The conditions, process and mechanisem for the step formation are given in the paper. According to the nolinear relationship between displacement of a elastic body and its size derived under the action of its body forces from the similarity theory, an expression between size of a fault step and its active length is derived for the case of plane strain. Attempts to confirm this quantitative relationship by modelling specific examples numerically and physically is made by the authors and analysis of the results of these studies is given in the paper.
