Abstract: Dynamic compaction method is commonly used to strengthen the ground in engineering. This method is widely used to treat other kinds of soil except for silt,and also is appropriate to reinforce granite residual soil in Guangdong. According to the nature of granite residual soil in Guangdong and dynamic compaction test results of treating newly filling granite residual soil from two test area at some area,the technical parameters of dynamic compaction suiting to the nature of granite residual soil are determined,and some construction parameters are analyzed furthermore,and some new viewpoints for analyzing the dynamic compaction construction parameters are proposed too. Meanwhile by way of analyzing the monitoring results combining with test results with some physical mechanics property index,the reinforcement effect is fully appraised,and some conclusions are summed up that different compaction energy or different geotechnical properties at some area will make different effects on improving granite residual soils.
