    湛江强结构性粘土的形成机理分析

    SEDIMENTATION MECHANISM ANALYSIS OF STRONG STRUCTURAL CLAY IN ZHANJIANG AREA

    • 摘要: 立足于土体赋存的地质背景,以湛江地区第四系下更新统湛江组强结构性粘土地层为依托,浅析了该地区土的工程特性与沉积特征,发现湛江粘土是一种典型的强结构性土,属陆相沉积为主的河控三角洲相(即海陆交互相)沉积层,由于受该区构造运动的强烈影响,该土集多种地质营力的复杂耦合作用而呈现出特殊的沉积特征;胶结作用是其具有较高的结构强度的根本原因,成土演化过程与红土有着"亲缘"关系。

       

      Abstract: Established in geologic evolvement of solum, relied on strong structural soft clay strata which belong to Zhanjiang Formation lower Pleistocene series the Quaternary system in Zhanjiang area, analyzed edimentation characteristic and engineering properties. It is found that Zhanjiang Formation is the deltaic-facies strata controled by river(interactive marine & continental sedimentation),and its special sedimentation characteristic result from multi-geologic-agent coupling action and strong tectonic movement effect. It is typical strong structural soil with higher structural strength result from agglutination, and its pedogenic evolutionary process is similar to that of laterite.
