    STUDY ON THE SOFT SOIL MICROSTRUCTURE AND ITS ENGINEERING SIGNIFICANCE

    • 摘要: 通过对珠江三角洲软土的压缩试验,以及对压缩后的软土样柱的微结构变化进行系统的定量分析,得到了特定压力下样柱的单位压缩量随深度变化的计算方程,以及软土总压缩量的计算方程。在此基础上,作者进一步讨论了软土天然含水量与压缩量的关系,提出了压缩量计算方程中c值的修正方案,并讨论了该方程在工程设计上的实用意义。

       

      Abstract: Through compression experiment on the soil columns from the Pearl River Delta and quantitative study of the microstructure variations of the pressed mud column, the author obtains the formulas for calculating the unit and total settlements with depths under a certain pressure. On the basis, the paper further discusses the relationship between the content of natural water in soft soil and the settlement value under a certain load, and corrects the parameter "c" of the formula for total settlement. These formulas should be helpful for the calculation of settlement value during designations of engineering
