Abstract: An assessment method of landslides in village and small town was proposed in this paper. Based on the probability and grades of landslide hazard,the landslide risk was divided into small,medium,and large grades. Based on the landslide risk and the capacity to cure landslide,the site of village and small town was divided into four categories: no fit,poor fit,fair fit,and fit. A simple supervision method to landslides was also proposed. The supervision method included simple displacement supervision and macro phenomena of critical state of landslides. Consequently,an effective method to prevent and cure landslides in village and small town was discussed.
