Abstract: With the development of urban construction, we will face a lot of geologic hazard problems. The losses would be great as these hazards occur, and a large amount of money will be needed to prevent them. The paper begins with the economic analysis of the geotechnical engineering problems in urban construction, and then makes a further study on the cost of urban construction. It would be of great importance in urban planning, construction and management.
