Abstract: On the basis of the recent status of landslide groundwater studies and control construction,the significance of effect of groundwater on landslide stability is emphasized in this paper.The author suggests the main research fields of groundwater effect on landslides,after analysis of the major problems we are facing in the study of landslides and practice on the construction controlling landslides.
