RESEARCH ON MONITORING OF MWD PARAMETERS BASED ON MORTAR DRILLING

    • The tunnel advanced drilling test is an important means to obtain the geological conditions in front of the tunnel. The drilling parameters have a certain correlation with the properties of the rock mass. This article is to explore the response relationship between drilling parameters in advance drilling and rock masses with different strengths. And in order to establish a mathematical model that can quantitatively characterize the uniaxial compressive strength of rock mass. We used the ZS-100 drilling sampling machine with the drilling intelligent sensing system to conduct drilling tests on cement mortar samples of different strength levels. In this test, we set different drill speeds(300 r·min-1, 400 r·min-1)for the two sets of samples, and monitor the change trend of torque, drilling pressure, drilling rate and other parameters during the drilling process. The research results show the follows. The MWD parameters monitored by the intelligent sensing system of the drilling rig have obvious response characteristics in the three stages of drilling preparation phase, drilling rock sample phase and bit lifting phase. The response of the parameters while drilling has a high correlation with the strength level of the sample. The higher the strength level, the greater the torque and drilling pressure on the drill bit during drilling, and the slower the penetration rate of the drill rig. Through the inversion of the test results to the uniaxial compressive strength prediction model, we find that there is an obvious exponential function relationship between the three parameters of torque, drilling pressure, and drilling rate and the uniaxial compressive strength. It provides a scientific reference basis for the prediction of the uniaxial compressive strength of the rock and the application of advanced intelligent drilling equipment.
