SYNTHETICAL ESTIMATION METHOD ABOUT SHEARING STRENGTH OF ROCK JOINTS

Shear strength parameters of rock joints are the important indexes on stability analysis of rock engineering and design of treatment scheme. Rock joint roughness coefficient features i.e. anisomerism, anisotropy, inhomogeneity and scale effect were summarized systematically in the paper. The development of measuring apparatus and technology on rock joint roughness coefficient were retrospected. Detailed procedure of comprehensive evaluation method on rock joint shear strength was introduced. The reliability of comprehensive evaluation method on rock joint shear strength was analyzed by analyzing the shear tests.
