RESEARCH PROGRESS AND DEVELOPMENT TRENDS OF GROUND SUBSIDENCE IN COASTAL CITY TAKE TIANJIN COASTAL PLANE FOR EXAMPLE

Ground subsidence is the major geologic disaster of coastal city in the world, which has brought about serious loss to the economy. Ground subsidence occurs when large amounts of groundwater have been withdrawn from certain types of rocks, such as fine-grained sediments. How to reduce the damage extent and to control the ground subsidence is a hot topic, which is closely related to the national economy and the public livelihood. In this paper, further studies in the field are pointed out.
