    EXPERIMENTAL RESEARCH ON THE RAM-COMPACTION PILES WITH COMPOSITE BEARING BASE AT CLAY IN CHENGDU

    • The text introduces the first experiment of the Ram-compaction pile with composite Bearing Base in ChengDu. The Ram-compaction with composite bearing base patent equipment is applied to manufacture composite bearing base and common piles at the same diameter and length. Loading capacity is tested in using load test. It shows that bearing capacity of the Ram-compaction with composite bearing base is 3.4 times common Ram-compaction pile; at the same settlement, bearing capacity of the former is higher than the latter; the Ram-compaction with composite bearing base pile adapts to larger settlement than common Ram-compaction pile.
