DISCUSSION ON SUSCEPTIBILITY,HAZARD,VULNERABILITY AND RISK OF GEOLOGICAL DISASTER

In this paper, the fundamental concept of geological disaster susceptibility,hazard vulnerability and risk are expounded.The susceptibility describes the complexity to occur geological disaster in a certain district and reflects physics geological phenomena. The hazard is a function of scale and probability of disaster occurrence, reflects activity degree and damage capability of disaster. The vulnerability indicates vulnerable degree of social economy and human society capability to disasters. The risk is a connecting unity of natural and social attribute of disaster, and it is the product expression of hazard and vulnerability. Based on this, it's influence factors and calculating methods are described. It is supposed this thoughts which from shallow to deep and from external to internal may be applied to research on geological disaster assessment and risk management. And it has a better developmental prospect.
