CONTROLLING AND TRIGGERING FACTORS OF LOESS GEO-HAZARDS

Based on data from the detailed geo-hazard investigation in the Baota district, Yan'an city, Controlling and triggering factors of loess landslides and collapses were analyzed. Such conclusions that gully development phase, geological conditions of slopes, geometry of slopes control the formation, distribution, scales and types of loess landslides. Groundwater and vegetation also contribute the formation of landslides. The coupled human activities and rainfall is the major triggering factor of landslides.
