    REVIEW ON ENVIRONMENTAL AND ENGINEERING GEOLOGICAL PROBLEMS IN WUHAN CITY

    • The geological environment is a key factor which affects the safety and development of cities. So the research on city environment and engineering geological problems is instructive to city design, management of land resource, prevention of geo-hazards, and site solution of important projects. Based on a great deal of field data and monitoring data, the environmental and geological conditions in Wuhan City were discussed and analyzed such as geological structure, engineering geology, and hydraulic geology. Besides, the main environmental and engineering geological problems were summarized including their characteristic, distribution and scale, where some effective measures were suggested.
