INVESTIGATION AND TREATMENT FOR THE TERMITE HIDDEN TROUBLE IN BANK WITH TRENCHLESS TECHNIQUE

Homogeneity showed in the materials consisting of bank can result in stable and slower variation of geophysical fields.The termite hidden trouble existing inside of bank can destruct the homogeneity,causing the local and considerable variation of geophysical fields if the destruction is in large scale.The abnormal variation can be found through special devices,analyzed and interpreted by skilled and experienced experts,finally the position and buried depth of the termite hidden can then be pinpointed.This paper introduces the geophysical techniques used in termite detection and investigation,and shows the availability of the methods and gives the precaution in field actual practice with some successfully detecting cases.
