NUMERICAL ANALYSIS OF GROUND SUBSIDENCE DUE TO STEEPLY INCLINED SEAM MINING AND ITS EFFECT ON GAS PIPELINE

    • The evaluation on the ground subsidence and cracks due to steeply inclined seam mining is one of the difficulties affecting the safety of gas pipelines. Numerical simulation of the ground deformation and stability surrounding the gas pipeline in somewhere in Northwestern area is conducted by applying finite difference method (FDM). The reason of crack occurring in the ground due to mining is analyzed, and the safety of gas pipeline is quantitatively evaluated.
