    ANALYSE ON MECHANISM OF DIP SLOPE DEFORMATION AND FAILURE ALONG UPPER DUHE RIVER

    • Dip slope deformation and failure deduced abound shallow rock mass landslides along Duhe river. On the basis the field investigation, the paper described the dip slope deformation and failure phenomenon on natural outcrops, and five stages were recognized as (1) Rheological stage with unloading cranny and rhombus rock mass formed, (2)Rhombus rockmass distortion stage, (3)Bend and break off stage, (4)Transfixiong stage of tensile crack, (5)Shallow deformation and failure stage. The field analysis on the process helps to understand the mechanics of slope deformation and failure and to prompt prevent and cure work on this kind of slope.
