STUDY ON URBANIZATION AND URBAN ENVIORONMENTAL GEOTECHNIC ENGINEER AND GEOLOGICAL HAZARDS

The 21st century is an ear in which human beings are jointly seeking for sustainable development. Therefore protection & appropriate utilization of environment and resources have become big strategy issues in the development of China. The author considered that urban geology should focus on environmental problems encountered in the present expedition of urbanization in China. In other words, Urban geology should focus on urban environmental geotechnology safety. This paper recognizes that the main development direction and idea is urban geology--environment geology--to do with the problems of our geotechnology and geological hazard.
