EFFECT OF THE BIG BUDDHA CLIFF LANDSLIP ON SELECTING AND LOCATING THE PRODUCT PIPELINE

    • The lan(zhou)-cheng(du)-yu(chongqing) product pipeline is the longest one with total length of 1250km which has been built recently in China .It is an important and capital construction project in the developing strategy in Western china which have been carried out by Chinese government. The main line and breach lines, run through Ganshu, Shanxi, Sichuan provinces and Chongqing city, including 40 counties and cities. Along the route, the topography, landforms and engineering geological conditions are of complicated with bigger relief in the mountain and hill area, harmful and developing geological phenomenon. All of these will influence on the safe and reliable operation of product pipeline greatly.Taking the Buddha cliff landslip as an example, this paper illustrates the complicated geological conditions of this line and the landslip which influenced on selecting and derterming the route of this pipeline.
