    ANALYSIS ON DESIGN METHODS OF EMBANKMENT SLOPE REINFORCED BY GEOGRIDS

    • The paper briefly introduces the equal interval or subzoning equal interval reinforcement design project with regard to the embankment slope in "the applied technical specification of the geotechnical composition materials for highway(JTJ/T019-98)". Then programs are written to calculate the slope safety during reclamation in layer, and the optimal laying interval of geogrid meeting safety modulus requirement is obtained through iterative computation. At last, the program is used to calculate an engineering example, and the result indicates that the best geogrid laying interval is not the equal one but the method of "sparse in top, dense in bottom", which should be utilized more later.
