    THE REINFORCEMENT FOR THE SOFT GROUND OF HIGH EMBANKMENT AIRPORT IN THE SOUTHWEST OF CHINA

    • The complexity geology conditions usually accompanied with maldistributed weak soil, high embankment, intensive earthquake, short construction period are the main characteristics during the airport construction in the southwest of China. Therefore, it is indispensable to reinforce the weak soil. Summing up the airport construction instances in theses region, the rational and economic treatments are dynamic consolidation(especially the replacement dynamic consolidation), compaction gravel pile, cushion and rolling. Then their reinforcement mechanism and case design are discussed in detail during an airport construction.
