PROTECTING TECHNIQUES TO THE ADJACENT BUILDINGS AND PIPELINES DURING DEEP FOUNDATION TRENCH EXCAVATING

    • Construction of a subway station encountered many difficulties because of the complicated surrounding environment and geologic conditions, especially the problems of settlement and destroys of adjacent buildings caused by deep foundation trench excavating. Based on the foundation styles and engineering requirements of those buildings, effective protecting schemes to surrounding buildings are worked out individually in the paper. Additionally, necessary moving and protecting measures to the pipelines that are influenced by excavating are also proposed.
