    STUDY AND APPLICATION OF ONE DIMENSIONAL CONSOLIDATION OF MULTI-LAYERED SOILS UNDER TIME-DEPENDENT LOADING

    • Caculating method of one dimensional consolidation of multi-layered soils under time-dependent loading is studied in this paper, Water table influence and the matched consolidation-calculating model is proposed. As one application example, a certain international airport runway preloading soil improvement is introduced, which area is 310,0000 square meters, is about 230 to 750meters wide and 6500 meters long. It is found that it will have great influence on preloading effect when water table rise inside the area through synthetically study of measured data, which includes water table, pore pressure, ground settlement, delaminating settlement and horizontal movement of deep soil. The mechanism of water table influence is discussed in detail. The lateral measured data are shown that the proposed model is feasible.
