ENGINEERING CHARACTERISTIC ANALYSIS OF SOFT SOIL IN GUANGZHOU AREA

This paper had studied on the deposit environment and engineering characteristics of soft soil in Guangzhou area, and drew the conclusion that the soft soil of this region can be divided into three types: Holocene marine soft soil, Holocene mountain depression soft soil, Upper Pleistocene soft soil. Further properties of the soft soil had been revealed through the statistics by comparing their physical mechanical characteristics, and practical reinforce treatments to these soft soil foundations had been discussed in this paper also.
