    THE INFLUENCE OF DEPOSITIONAL CHEMISTRY ON GEOTECHNICAL PROPERTIES OF LIANYUNGANG MARINE CLAYS

    • In this study, the depositional chemistry of Lianyungang marine clay is investigated by the laboratory tests, and the correlations of depositional chemistry and geotechnical properties are discussed. The results indicate that Lianyungang marine clay is NaCl saliferous clay deposited in alkalescent oxidation environment and the geotechnical properties are variety with depth owing to the influence of depositional chemistry. The OCR, sensitivity, and K0 were positive correlative with the logarithmic of Fe3+ concentration.
