    PRACTICE ON THE FLATFORM IMPROVING ENGINNERING OF LESHAN GRAND BUDDHA

    • Tourist's safety and stability of original flatform at foot of Le Shan Grand Buddha were affected greatly, it was very necessary to improve the Buddha feet's flatform. On basis of engineering geology analysis of the Buddha, stability of the Buddha body was calculated, which supplied theoretical foundation to the design of flatform improving engineering. Structural stability was considered sufficiently when designing, the design original and conception were insisted that world cultural heritage be protected, original cultural relic and landscape be avoided man-made sabotage. The design scheme was adopted, in which the main structural were made of sticking-slope concrete wall and cantilever beam with poured concrete flatform plate in time. The new constructed flatform structural is coordinated with original surrounding landscape, the nature of the world cultural heritage is defended, the aesthetic effect of uniform is realized with the Buddha, flatform, mountain, and Minjiang river.
