ARTIFICIAL HEADLAND-BAY BEACH TRIAL RESEARCH IN WESTERN-BEACH OF BEIDAIHE

This thesis introduced static equilibrium headland-bay beach theory and artificial beach nourishment technical and design methods, programmed the repair project in Western-beach of Beidaihe. The plan apply the mode of static equilibrium headland-bay, design the artificial headland using arc-jetty and detached breakwater in Western-beach, shaped three arc-bays which are in static equilibrium, considering the sea situation and supplied sands source, and design artificial beach nourishment profiles and method, bring the Western-beach become an opened and multifunction bathing place. The research have a demonstrating meaning to beach nourishment of our country.
