CONSTRUCTION TECHNOLOGY CONTROL OF MASS CONCRETE STRUCTURE

The characteristic of mass contrete was summarized, and some qualitative problems caused by this structure was described such as cracks. It was shown by the relative analysis that stresses of temperature and shrink were the main factor of causing of cracks. So it is nessary to take some measures to control stresses of temperature and shrink. For example, the mix proportion design should be adjusted to decrease the usage of concrete and to restraint heat of hydration in the preparatory phase. During the construction, some key details should be considered well such as construction order, vibrating times, nleeding and surface treatment. Also, some insulation and humid measures are nessary to satisfy the changes of humidity and temperature.
