ANALYSIS OF OSCILLATION AND FLUCTUATION OF MONITORED DISPLANCEMENT CURVE IN SLOPES

The monitored displacement of the slope is usually oscillated and fluctuated, i.e. the direction of the lateral displacement changes with time. This paper analyzes the similarities and the dissimilarities in the oscillation and fluctuation of the time~displacement curve with some examples. It is found that fluctuation was caused by the slope condition, water, human activity and temperature. The finding can provide useful information on the analysis of the oscillation and fluctuation of the monitored displacement curve for slopes.
