STABILITY ANALYSIS OF A FRACTURED ROCK MASS SLOPE USED AS THE FOUNDATION FOR A TUNNEL TYPE ANCHORAGE OF SUSPENSION BRIDGE AT BALING RIVER

    • This paper presents a stability analysis of the fractured rock mass slope used as the foundation of a tunnel-type anchorage of a suspension bridge across Baling river.he western anchorage of the bridge is buried in the slope. The study takes into account the slope geological conditions and the loading from the bridge in the analysis. The slope stability analysis model is developed on the basis of the virtual work principle, where the rock stratification planes and the adverse discontinuities are incorporated.
