    BEHAVIOR OF PILES SUBJECTED TO EXCAVATION-INDUCED SOIL MOVEMENT

      Abstract
    • Two neighbor tall buildings are constructed on soft soil ground.The piles of the buildings are subject to deflection due to excavation-induced soil movement.Based on the project,three-dimensional finite-difference program is applied to calculate the deflection of piles due to the soil lateral movements.The effects of pit excavation on pile deflection have also been studied.
