    FINITE ELEMENT ANALYSIS OF EMBANKMENT FOUNDATION IMPROVED BY DJM PILES IN FUZHOU-XIAMEN RAILWAY

    • Using the FEM with a plane deformation, the authors evaluate the settlement and deformation characteristics of an embankment foundation based on the Biot,s consolidation theory. Sensitivity analyses were conducted on some factors, such as construction technique and embankment cross-section parameters. Research results can provide reliable and rigorous guidelines for the design and construction in infrastructure development.
