    RESEARCH ON GROUND STRESS FIELD IN V-SHAPED RIVER VALLEYS

    • By using e of the theory of elasticity and variation method, the problem of ground stress field in V-shaped river valleys is studied. The stress formulae can be used to draw various stress curves, but also to calculate the stress values at stability, rock mass staiblity around the underground excavations and to design hydropower dams and slope engineering project.
