ON THE CAUSES AND THE COUNTERMEASURES TO ANTHROPOGENIC GEOLOGIC DISASTERS

Main causes and countermeasures for prevention and control of anthropogenic geologic disasters are discussed in the paper. The author considers there are three main causes for occurrence of anthropogenic geologic disasters: (1) The geological situation (backgraund) at the engineering area did not be clearly understood; (2) Unreasonable design; (3) Low quality of construction. The author also points out that the anthropogenic geologic disasters can be avoided or mitigated by means of standardization of human activities.
