THE MODIFIED JANBU METHOD FOR CALCULAION OF THRUSTING FORCE OF LANDSLIDE

The thrusting force of landslide is the basic data for slope protecting works. In this paper, the authors modified the general Janbu method, considering a more reasonable force distribution and shearing failure mechanism. Its application shows that the modified method can give the position and magnitude of the thrusting force. In addition, increasing strength parameters of the landslide can reduce the thrusting force.
