    • This paper,reviewing on strengh tests of fissured rock mass discusses mechanism and basic law of direct shear failure of fissured rock mass from a large amount of in situ test data and its affecting factors in the fissure rock mass.A set of affective experimental techniques are given and some necessary and essential conditions for failure of fissured rock are provided.It plays an importent role in rock mechanics and solid mechanics.
