Abstract
As an important means to realize the distributed monitoring technology, optical fiber sensing technology has been rapidly developed in recent years. This technology has a great potential of applications in the field of geological and geotechnical engineering monitoring. In this paper, a distributed monitoring model of soil slope stability is designed, which is based on the following two kinds of sensing technology: Brillouin Optical Time Domain Analysis(BOTDA) and Fiber Bragg Grating(FBG).Through the model test, the strain distribution and failure process of the slope by water level are studied. According to the monitoring data of FBG and BOTDA,the stability of soil slope is evaluated. The feasibility of BOTDA and FBG distributed optical fiber sensing techniques is verified for slope deformation monitoring. The research results have an important significance for application of the distributed fiber sensing technology and analysis of soil slope stability in multiple fields.
