A DISCUSSION ON ENGINEERING GEOLOGICAL THEORY AND ITS THEORETICAL SYSTEM

Engineering geology is a subject that has a wide application in many fields. Many theories have been proposed for this subject in past years. However, these theories are only applicable under some specific conditions, and the systematic studies are very few on their interlinks among various theories. This paper makes a systematic study and analysis of the engineering geological theories those were proposed before, and proposed an engineering geology theory system. Meanwhile, it points out that the fundamental objective of the engineering geology is to make an optimum coupling between the engineering system and the natural system.
