VERTICAL-DRAINAGE-PREVENTION TECHNOLOGY FOR PLAIN-TYPE LANDFILL

The plain-type landfill is one of the important landfill type. Firstly, the characteristic of the plain-type landfill is elaborated in this paper. Then the groundwater pollution problem appearing in site planning and leachate-drainage-prevention employed before 1980's in China is analyzed. In order to mitigate the groundwater contamination from leachate, the vertical-drainage-prevention wall must be constructed as a drainage-prevention measure. Finally, the grouting material and chemical grouting was introduced, and the vertical-drainage-prevention technology is summarized.
