GROUND FISSURES ALONG XIAN SUBWAY LINE 2:CHARACTERISTICS,HARMS AND MEASURES

Ground fissures that are typical geo-hazards in Xian area may cause damage of various types of buildings,transportation facilities,city lifeline projects and the land resources,especially endangering the construction and running of Xian Subway Line 2.Ground fissures in Xian area were introduced firstly,then distribution and characteristics of ground fissures were summarized around Xian Subway Line 2.These fissures have been observed and their accumulative moving value were determined.The research results gave the moving speed of each ground fissures at different time stage,and determined the influence scale/area of each fissure.Finally,some suggestions and measures were proposed to prevent and control these ground fissures disasters.
