TEST AND ANALYSIS ON THERMAL CONDUCTIVITY OF SOILS IN NANJING,CHINA

According to the test data of the thermal conductivity of large amounts of clay and silty clay samples in Nanjing,China,the relationships among the soil thermal conductivity and the moisture content and the void ratio are analyzed in this paper.Factors affecting the soil thermal conductivity are further analyzed.Finally,empirical formula is proposed for estimating the soil thermal conductivity from the soil moisture content and the soil void ratio.
