    HYBRID-GENETIC ALGORITHM FOR CALCULATING FAILURE PROBABILITY OF SLOPE OF OPEN PIT

      Abstract
    • A new hybrid-genetic algorithm is presented by introducing Powell method into genetic algorithm of numerical optimization, and a new method for calculation of failure probability of slope is developed for Yamansu iron mine in Xinjiang autonomous region. The analysis result shows that the proposed method, which can be easily used to find out the total optimum point, is practical and reliable.
